A Gnosis Bridge transfer finished when the destination wallet displays the expected asset and a block explorer shows a confirmed transaction to the correct address. Ethereum-to-Gnosis transfers usually take about 26 minutes; Gnosis-to-Ethereum transfers also still need a separate claim.

Link each number to the transfer side
Ethereum-to-Gnosis transfers normally have two visible stages: the source transaction succeeds, then the bridge verifies it and credits the destination wallet. An ERC-20 transfer may take around 130 blocks, or 26 minutes. A native xDAI transfer is considered as finalized after eight blocks.
Gnosis-to-Ethereum transfers operate differently. The bridge transaction can be confirmed without the funds appearing on Ethereum right away. The receiver must find the validated transaction and select “Claim” before the funds are released.
Prove the destination balance moved
A wallet notification is not proof by itself. I verify the result by entering the transaction hash into the explorer, checking that the status is successful, confirming the recipient address, and then checking the destination wallet on the correct network.
The asset must also be the expected one. xDAI is Gnosis Chain’s gas token, while an ERC-20 token may need to be included to the wallet before its balance becomes visible. A hidden token is not necessarily missing; the contract address and network decide what the wallet shows.
Distinguish a delay from a failed transfer
“Pending” shows the bridge has not finished its verification or release step. “Failed” shows the blockchain turned down the transaction, so the bridge transfer did not occur. A completed source transaction with no receiving balance often signals verification time, a needed claim, a wrong recipient, or a token-display issue.
If the transfer exceeds the bridge’s daily limit, the process can wait until that limit resets. The wallet should not send the same transfer again and again while the original transaction is still pending.
